NO. 4 7 ei � <br /> A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING � <br /> NIINIMI7M AND MA��MUM PARK DEDICATION AMOUNTS <br /> FOR COMIVIERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL ZONED LAND <br /> WI�REAS, the City's general park dedication requirement is 8%of the land being <br /> platted or subdivided; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City's park dedication ordinance calls for the dedication requirement <br /> to be roughly proportional to the projected impact of the proposed development on the City's park <br /> system; and - <br /> WHEREAS,the City's park dedication ordinance provides for the establishment of <br /> minimum and maximum park dedication amounts per residential dwelling unit; and <br /> �' <br /> . WHEREAS,the City finds the employees of commercial/industrial developments <br /> make use of the City's park system in ways similar to City residents,particulazly since the City's park <br /> system is focused on trails and natural areas; and <br /> WI�REAS,the City's pazk dedication ordinance ties the commerciaUindustrial park <br /> dedication requirement to the residential park dedication requirement by determining the number of <br /> commerciaUindustrial employees that is equivalent to a residential dwelling unit in terms of impact <br /> on the City's pazk system; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has established a minimum park dedication amount per <br /> . residential dwelling unit as $3,250 per unit, and a maximum pazk dedication amount per dwelling <br /> unit as $5,550 per unit; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City finds that ten employees are equivalent to one residential <br /> dwelling unit in terms of impact on the park system; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City finds that the average number of employees accommodated by <br /> commerciaUindustrial zoned land is 25 employees per acre; and <br /> � . - Page 1 of 2 <br />
