HRAN'S CAMP — CABIN #32 PEANUT ROW AREA <br />'--dERi.. the City of Orono is a municipal corporation <br />organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, State of Minnesota, Centenial Building, St. Paul, <br />Minnesota 55102, is the fee owner of record of property located at Big <br />Island Veteran's Camp, Orono, Minnesota, herein referred to as Big <br />Isla? veteran's Camp, and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 2 Unplatted 23-117-23 21 0001 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono, having duly <br />consic:eied the matter pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Sections 463.15 <br />to 463.261, hereby finds that the above described Cabin #32 Peanut Row <br />area is unhabitable and contains unsanitary and hazardous conditions <br />which constitute a public nuisance and which makes this property <br />hazardous to the public health, safety and welfare based on the <br />following findings: <br />1. Building footing and found, -:,fun consists of concrete <br />blocks without mortar join* <br />2. Ceiling height is too "ow for habitable space. <br />3. Wood is rotten around bottom edges of exterior walls. <br />4. Windows do not meet fire egress requirements becaus- f <br />the screens and wood flaps which cover window. <br />5. Roof sar- and is its disrepair. <br />6. No sewer or water is available to the site. <br />7. Fire alarms (smoke detectors) are not F )vided. <br />k. Electrical wiring is in a .tate of disrepair and is a <br />p4-.:cntial fire 'iazird. <br />9. The surrou-..ding area ar:.)und the building contains n;qh <br />weeds and brush which creatt a fire hazard. <br />10.
