Treasurer Attached is the 1986 Lake Minnetonka Conservation District budget <br />Mound Edward G Bauman which is generally categorized as to purpose, and represents no <br />Tonka Bay increase in levy to the villages. It has been certified by the <br />Donald E Boynton <br />Minnetonka Bear, LMCD Board of Directors at its meeting July 1, 1985. <br />Frank de Monchau■ <br />Minnetrrsla <br />Ricnard J. Garwood Minnesota Statute Chapter 907, Section 4 provides: "Expense of <br />OyGisvoen the district shall be borne b the municipalities. The governing body of each <br />municipa'.ity in the district shall review the budget, and the <br />directors. upon notice from any municipality, shall hear objec- <br />tions to the budget and may, after the hearing, modify or amend <br />the budget, and then give notice to the muni-'palities of modi- <br />fications or amendments. It shall be the duty of the governing <br />body or board of supervisors of each municipality in the dis- <br />trict to provide the funds necessary to meet its proportion <br />of the --tal cost to be borne by the municipalities as finally <br />cerL..,ed by the directors, the funds to be raised by any means <br />within the authority of the municipalities and to pay the funds <br />into the treasury of the district in amounts and at times the <br />treasurer of the district may require. The municipalities <br />may each levy a tax not to exceed one mill on the taxable prop- <br />erty located therein, to provide such funds.
