f <br />C�yi�j�i"'STING <br />!-' )! 8 In-5 <br />TO: Mayor and City Council .•;._ . <br />FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City Administrato <br />C a r,r <br />DATE: July 5, 1985 <br />SUBJECT: MTC Route Changes <br />As you will note in the attached letter MTC, in light of <br />alterations on Highway 12 for construction for I-394, is <br />reviewing alternatives for alteration of routes to accomodate the <br />construction. As you will note in addition to the various <br />express bus changes, the immediate impact of these plans on Orono <br />is the proposed rerouting of route 51 of bus service off South <br />Brown Road between Watertown and County Rd 51 over to Old Crystal <br />Bay Road between those same two points. While this change may be <br />a minor part of MTC's consideration, it is felt appropriate that <br />residents along both those routes be notified of the proposed <br />change. <br />In order to consolidate these concerns it is the recommendation <br />of staff that the residential property owners along those two <br />routes be notified of the impending change and indicate to them <br />they can either forward their commend to MTC or be present to <br />discuss the matter at the Council's August 5, 1985, Council <br />meeting. <br />Should have further questions or comments please feel free to <br />contact me. <br />
