Interoffice Memo 85-071 <br />DATE: May 22, 1985 <br />TO: Orono Council <br />FROM: Chief Kilbo <br />SUBJECT: Trapping Permit <br />Mr. Carlson has applied for a trapping permit to <br />remove beavers from his property area. Beavers are <br />trying to dam up a creek and are cutting trees <br />within 75 feet of the lake. <br />DNR agent Jim Conrad has given Carlson permission <br />to take beaver as they are causing damage to property. <br />All landowners within 500 feet of the trapline have <br />been notified of trapping request and have been asked <br />to respond by 5-22-85. <br />We have received no response from land owners, therefore, <br />I request a permit to be issued. <br />
