COUNCIL MEETING <br />14AY 2 8 ?:'�--i5 <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br />CITY OF ORUMO <br />FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City Administrator <br />DATE: May 24, 1985 <br />SUBJECT: Casco Point Road Petition <br />Attached is a petition from Casco Point Road and Dunwoody <br />Avenue neighborhood regarding the placement of a 3-way stop sign <br />in place of the current stop sign on Dunwoody Avenue. Traffic <br />safety in this area was an issue in 1978-79, at which time the <br />speed limit was lowered from 30 to 25 MPH, together with the <br />placement of dead end street signs. <br />It is staff recommendation that: <br />a) Council refer petition to staff for concerns to be <br />brought back to Council June 24th for recommendation. <br />b) That staff in concerns review <br />- current traffic situation <br />- result of 1979 actions on traffic safety <br />- which alternatives exist to correct existing <br />significant traffic safety issues <br />Should you have any further questions ple,ise feel free to contact <br />Me. <br />
