• <br />RESOLUTION #960 <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION #232, AN AGREEMENT TO A JOINT <br />AND COOPERATIVE USE OF POLICE PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT. <br />WHEREAS, a -Police Mutual Aid Agreement was proposed and entered into <br />by the City of Orono at a regular meeting April 8, 1968, <br />WHEREAS, Resolution #232 did not enumerate the type of emergency situ- <br />ations the requesting or responding official should consider responding <br />to, <br />BE IT RESOLVED, the council of the city of Orono authorizes the Mayor, <br />the City Clerk -Administrator, and/or the Chief of Police to respond <br />or request mutual aid in event of major disaters such as tornado, flood <br />storm damage, plane crash, railroad accident, hostage situations, riot <br />or civil disturbance, searches for missing persons and any situation <br />where it is evident that one community could not provide suff icent <br />resources, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the council of the City of Orono authorize <br />the senior officer on duty to respond or request mutual aid in event <br />of minor emergencies such as medical emergencies, traffic control at <br />accident scenes, robbery alarms, or backup on dangerous calls. It <br />further authorizes the Chief of Police to issue special orders as nec- <br />essary to implement or modify THE DEPARTMENTS response. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular <br />meeting held November 28 , 1978. <br />Attest: <br />L� <br />William B.
