RESOLUTION # 958 <br />A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE IMPOUNDING <br />OF DOGS AT M.A.P.S.I. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono has a contract with <br />the Metropolitan Animal Patrol Service, Inc. to furnish <br />animal control on a yearly basis, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono has a contract with <br />Reo-Raj Kennels for an impound facility on a yearly basis, and <br />WHEREAS, Metropolitan Animal Patrol Services, Inc. <br />has indicated to the City of Orono, in writing, that they <br />can no longer take dogs to Reo-Raj Kennels because Reo-Raj <br />is not a facility licensed under Metropolitan Animal <br />Patrol Services, Inc.'s U.S.D.A. license, and <br />WHEREAS, Reo-Raj Kennels are not licensed under <br />U.S.D.A. requirements. <br />Is NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of <br />Orono will impound all animals at the facility of Metro- <br />politan Animal Patrol Service, Inc. until an alternate <br />facility be found. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono at a regular <br />meeting held November 14, 1978. <br />'11bvi, R L <br />illiam B.
