RESOLUTION NO. 937 TAX FORFEIT LANDS Member C. Paul Pesek offered the following Resolution and moved its adoption: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono has received from the County of Hennepin, a list of lands in said municipality which became the property of the State of Minnesota, for non-payment of 1970 or 1971 real estate taxes. WHEREAS, each parcel of land described in said list has heretofore been classified by the Board of County Commissioners of Hennepin County, Minnesota as non -conservation land and the sale thereof has heretofore been authorized by said Board of County Commissioners, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by said City Council, acting pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282, that the said classification by said Board of County Commissioners of each parcel of land described in said list as non -conservation land be and the same is hereby approved, and that the sale of each such parcel of land be and the same is hereby approved, except for the following: 1. Those parcels of land listed on Exhibit A which are to be retained by the City of Orono for public purposes; and 2. Those parcels of land listed on Exhibit B which are approved for sale with certain limitations on the use of said lands pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282.03. The attached resolution No. W has been filed in the chain of title of those parcels of land listed on Exhibit B. In the event that the County of Hennepin does not approve of the limitations expressed therein and does not wish to so encumber said properties, then those parcels of land shall be retained by the City of Orono for the public purposes of flood control, drainage and/or park and recreation. The question was on the adoption of the Resolution and the roll being called, there were 5 Yeas and 0 Nays, as follows: Pesek, Massengale, Butler, Paurus and Van Nest. • Resolution adopted on the 29th day of August, 1978. i ATTEST: Walter R.
