RESOLUTION NO. 937 <br />TAX FORFEIT LANDS <br />Member C. Paul Pesek offered the following Resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono has received <br />from the County of Hennepin, a list of lands in said municipality <br />which became the property of the State of Minnesota, for non-payment <br />of 1970 or 1971 real estate taxes. <br />WHEREAS, each parcel of land described in said list has <br />heretofore been classified by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Hennepin County, Minnesota as non -conservation land and the sale <br />thereof has heretofore been authorized by said Board of County <br />Commissioners, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by said City Council, acting <br />pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282, that the said classification by <br />said Board of County Commissioners of each parcel of land described <br />in said list as non -conservation land be and the same is hereby <br />approved, and that the sale of each such parcel of land be and the <br />same is hereby approved, except for the following: <br />1. Those parcels of land listed on Exhibit A which are <br />to be retained by the City of Orono for public <br />purposes; and <br />2. Those parcels of land listed on Exhibit B which are <br />approved for sale with certain limitations on the <br />use of said lands pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282.03. <br />The attached resolution No. W has been filed in the <br />chain of title of those parcels of land listed on <br />Exhibit B. In the event that the County of Hennepin <br />does not approve of the limitations expressed therein <br />and does not wish to so encumber said properties, then <br />those parcels of land shall be retained by the City <br />of Orono for the public purposes of flood control, <br />drainage and/or park and recreation. <br />The question was on the adoption of the Resolution and the <br />roll being called, there were 5 Yeas and 0 Nays, as follows: <br />Pesek, Massengale, Butler, Paurus and Van Nest. <br />• Resolution adopted on the 29th day of August, 1978. <br />i <br />ATTEST: <br />Walter R.
