MINUTES OF A REGULAR IiEETING HELD MAY 28, 1974 <br />Page 2 <br />Paurus moved, Searles seconded, to grant a <br />variaace to Richard Hollander, 680 North Arm <br />Drive, for the construction of a garage 22' <br />from the road right-of-way, since it is an <br />improvement over the existing situation, but <br />a variance from the 75' lake setback ordinance <br />can only be given preliminary approval subject <br />to the iiinnehaha Creek Iatershed District giving <br />its approval. This variance was deemed reasonable <br />since it is a narrow lot and the variance is <br />only a need for a deck supported by poles. As <br />soon as the Watershed District approves it, <br />then a written copy of that approval must be <br />submitted to Dexter Marston, and if it meets <br />fir. i4arston's approval, then the staff is <br />authorized to grant a variance. Motion, <br />Ayes (3) - Nays (0) . <br />The variance for John Zimmer & Melvin Dale <br />on County Road #6 and Watertown Road is <br />tabled until June 11, 1974. <br />The variance for Albert Burkhalter and <br />Gerben Korthius, 1066 Loma Linda, is also <br />tabled until June. 11, 1974. <br />Butler moved Paurus seconded, to grant <br />the variance and subdivision for Harold <br />Anderson, 4665 Bayside Road, and that a <br />5% park fee is to be charged to the two - <br />acre__ parcel. Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) . <br />Searles moved, Paurus seconded, to grant the <br />subdivision to Hugh Harrison and that a 50' <br />access to the lake be provided and that a <br />5% park fee be charged for this subdivision. <br />ldotion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) . <br />Paurus moved, Butler seconded, to deny the <br />street vacation of Dale Batson, 2200 Bayview <br />Place. But the Council did feel that perhaps <br />consideration should be given in the future <br />for the variances needed for construction of <br />a garage.
