ENERGY FIELD WORXSHEET <br />1. Insulate exterior walls: <br />2. Insulate interior walls: <br />3. 2' blue Styrofoam between firring strips 16' on center, and a 4 mil <br />plastic vapor barrier over the Insulation. <br />4. 1/2' sheetrock will be used over firring strips. The seams will be <br />cemented and finished. <br />5. The plaster board will be given a prime coat plus two coats of washable <br />paint. <br />6. Fiberglass insulation will be put above the existing ceiling. <br />7. Suspend ceiling using the metal grid system and 2'X 4' lay -in panels - <br />Owens-Corning Stonebrook which has the 3' glass backing with R value of <br />12. In addition, 6' glass Sonnabatt will be used. <br />S. Alternate method for insulating walls: 2X4 studs, 16• on center with <br />3 1/2' fiberglass insulation, 4 mil poly moisture barrier, plaster board <br />with finished seams or 1/4' wood panel ilight birch or oak). <br />9. , loors and windows will be trimmed out and finished. <br />10. All heat ventilators, electrical recepticles, switches, necessary <br />plumbing, etc. will be extended out to the new finished wall. <br />11. Adequate attic ventilation, ball bearing ventilators may be used. <br />12. Close up existing windows as directed. Use 2' blue styrofoam as a backing <br />and fill cavity with fiberglass insulation. Run the moisture barrier over <br />the window and proceed to cover. <br />
