City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ORONO, <br />HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA REQUESTING A <br />VARIANCE FROM CURRENT MUNICIPAL STATE AID STANDARDS <br />WHEREAS, Municipal State Aid Street 102 (Old Crystal Say <br />Road) was constructed with a vertical alignment which provides <br />for a 30 MPH design speed on the Hill Crests @ 60+67, 88+17, <br />91+92 and 106+17. <br />WHEREAS, reconstruction of the present roadway to <br />correct the vertical alignment would not be in the best interests <br />of the City because extensive work would be required with no <br />significant benefit. <br />WHEREAS, the vertical alignment problem can be mitigated <br />by properly signing the street segments for a 30 MPH speed limit. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of <br />the City of Orono, Hennepin County, Minnesota that the City <br />Consulting "ngineer is authorized to request a variance to <br />Municipal state Aid Standard 14MCAR Section 1.5932, 8SR 2146, <br />8820.9910 (Rural Undivided Geometric Standards) for MSAP 152-102- <br />08. <br />The question was on the adoption of she resolution and upon a <br />vote being duly taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted <br />this 22 day of April, 1985. <br />Maly T.
