Gerhardson, <br />Public Works Coordinator <br />DATE: <br />April 2, 1985 <br />pONO <br />SUBJECT: <br />Request for Funds - <br />Westonka Senior Citizens <br />Inc. <br />On March 29, 1985, the City of Orono received a request for funds from <br />the Westonka Senior Citizens, Inc. to purchase a van type vehicle to <br />transport handicapped senior citizens. <br />As stated in the attached letter, the City of Orono can allocate <br />community development block grant funds for its share of the monies <br />requested. <br />If the Council feels that the request is appropriate, we must conduct a <br />public hearing and designate the amount allocated and from which <br />years' funding. <br />It would be my recommendation to allocate funds from Year X monies <br />which has a balance of $39,708. <br />
