RESOLUTION #902 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO <br />PREPARE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE DIAGONAL <br />RING ROUTE SEGMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono has held three public hearings, <br />May 17, 1976, February 28, 1977, and January 23, 1978 concerning the <br />construction of a segment of the ring route for a connecting link <br />between the intersection of County Roads No. 19 and No. 84 and the <br />intersection of County Road No. 6 and Watertown Road, for a distance <br />of approximately nine -tenths of a mile, and <br />WHEREAS, the three public hearing notices were duly published <br />in the official newspapers and mailed in a bulk mailing to all <br />citizens of Orono, and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed construction will be financed under <br />the Municipal State Aid Program utilizing State funds allocated to <br />the City of Orono for roadway construction and upgrading, and <br />WHEREAS, the City <br />need for an access to carry <br />Minnetonka area to the north <br />County engineering studies. <br />of Orono has studied and documented the <br />traffic from the west area of the Lake <br />and east, as supported by Hennepin <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Engineer is <br />authorized to prepare plans and specifications for the construction <br />of the diagonal ring route. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a <br />regular meeting held April 13, 1978. <br />J <br />VrilTiam B.
