Jacobs, Building Official MAR 2 51985 <br />DATE: March 22, 1985 L, ORONO <br />SUBJECT: Application for Solicitation - Discount Flowers - �/ <br />Al Penke <br />I have reviewed this application and spoke with Mr. Penke. During our <br />conversation, the following has been revealed: <br />1. Mr. Penke will be required to get a temporary sign <br />permit unless his advertising is painted on the side of <br />his truck. <br />2. He does have permission to sell flowers from the <br />property owner. <br />3. Mr. Penke has been investigated by the Orono Police <br />Department and approved for solicitation. <br />At the last Council meeting, Council suggested that the 60 day license <br />be shortened. This would require a change in the ordinances <br />(attached). <br />The Police Chief and myself will be looking into this matter and <br />revising the ordinance as needed. Any suggestions are welcome. <br />
