APRIL 16, 1984 <br />8c <br />ORDINANCE NO. I- -QT <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ST. LOUIS PARK MUNICIPAL CODt RELATED TO <br />NOISE: AMENDING SECTION 11-511(3); ADDING SECTION 11-513.101, <br />"EXCEPTION FOR FOOD/BEVERAGE VEHICLES" <br />THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: <br />Section 1. The St. Louis Park Municipal Code, Section I1-511, "Declaration <br />of Nuisance: Actions Prohibited,"Subsection 3, is hereby amended to rEad: <br />(3) Except as Permitted by, Section 11-513.101, no person may call attention <br />to his business or his goods or attract the attention of the public to <br />any building, structure, vehicle or any other area by creating noise <br />pollution, including but not limited to: Crying out, sounding a horn, <br />ringing a bell, or issuing music or sound broadcasts through any radio <br />receiving set, musical instrument, phonograph, stereo, loudspeaker, <br />sound amplifier or other machine or device for the production or repro- <br />duction of sound. In addition, no person shall create noise pollution <br />through the use of any such sound production or reproduction devices in <br />any activities or proceedings of his business, including, but not <br />limited to, the use of loudspeakers for communications. <br />Section 2. The St. Louis Park Municipal Code is hereby amended by <br />adding Section 11-513.101 to read: <br />Section 11-513.10 L Exception for iuod/Beverage Vehicles. Notwithstanding <br />any other provision to the contrary, food/beverage vehicles may sound a <br />manually operated bell between noon and 9 p.m. daily which produces a <br />noise level measured at a distance of 50 feet from the source no greater <br />than the following: <br />Residential/business/industrial <br />zoning districts 65 decibels. <br />Sec. 3. Penalty Clain-, Persons violating the provisions of this <br />ordinance shall be guilty , misdemeanor. <br />Sec. 4. Effecti-e Dare.
