EXHIBIT A <br />Checklist for Evaluating Lake Minnetonka <br />Public Access Car/Trailer Parking Agreement <br />4. All on -street parking spaces meet the following <br />standards: <br />a. Minimum length of 50 feet per space. <br />b. Adequate shoulder width to preclude door <br />opening into traffic lane. <br />c. Safe pedestrian route to access point <br />provided. <br />d. On -street car/trailer parking spaces are <br />illustrated and kept current on a plan by <br />street name on file with the LMCD. <br />5. A temporary boat mooring facility is provided <br />at the ramp site for a number of boats equal to <br />10% of the C/T parking spaces at the site for <br />C/T parking spaces between 1,501 feet and <br />2,000 feet. New facilities must meet Federal <br />A.D.A. requirements for handicapped persons. <br />6. Agency/city reserves the right to make changes <br />in access site plan off-street parking or on -street <br />designated or non -designated parking as public <br />policy priorities may require, with a <br />good faith effort to replace lost C/T spaces <br />at the earliest possible date, notifying the <br />LMCD of anticipated changes. LMCD and MN <br />DNR agree to cooperate with city/agency in <br />relocation of lost slips, including locations <br />elsewhere in the lake, and at other access. <br />7. City retains approval privilege on any actions <br />of an agency regulating parking allowances or <br />restrictions on county or state highways affecting <br />C/T parking in the vicinity of an access site. <br />8. Agency/city agrees to enter into this agreement <br />for a period of years (five years desired) <br />in recognition of the valuable recreational <br />opportunities offered on Lake Minnetonka. <br />Page 19 271 <br />
