CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />No. I W O <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING PUBLIC LAKE ACCESS AND AUTHORIZING <br />INSTALLATION OF ACCESS MARKINGS AND SIGNAGE AT ORCHARD BEACH <br />PLACE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is committed to maintaining and improving public access <br />to its lakes for the benefit and enjoyment of residents and visitors; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has identified an existing lake access point located at the end of <br />Orchard Beach Place as a suitable and historically utilized location for public access; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds it in the public interest to formally designate this <br />location as a public lake access point to ensure continued access, clarity of use, and proper <br />management of the site; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Orono, <br />Hennepin County, Minnesota that the lake access point located at the end of Orchard Beach <br />Place is hereby designated as a public lake access site. City staff are authorized to install public <br />access signage and markings at the site to clearly identify and improve visibility of the access <br />point. Staff are further directed to maintain the area in accordance with City standards for public <br />access locations. <br />Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on November 10, <br />2025. <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />
