City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE <br />WINE IN GROCERY STORES LEGISLATION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono owns and operates a Municipal <br />Off Sale Liquor Store, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono has transferred the profits <br />from the Liquor Store to reduce the General Property Tax levy, <br />WHEREAS, should the Win^ in Grocery Stores legislation <br />be passed, the profits of the Liquor Store wou:d ba reduced. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Orono <br />Council opposes any legislation allowing wine in :grocery stores. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a <br />regular meeting held February 25, 1985. <br />ATTEST: <br />Dorothy Y,tlallin City rl?cR <br />
