&JU AIL MEETING <br />FEB 111985 <br />MINUTES OF %RPTU"NCIL MEETING HELD JANUARY 28, 1985 PAGE 1 <br />7:06 PM ATTENDANCE The Orono Council met on the above date with the <br />following members present: Mayor Butler, Council - <br />members Lynn Adams, Tim Adams, Frahm and Grabek. <br />Public Works Coordinator Gerhardson, zoning Adminis- <br />trator Mabusth, Assistant Zoning Administrator <br />saffron, City Attorney Radio and City Clerk Hallin. <br />City Recorder Sutton was not present. Also in <br />Attendance were Planning Commission members: <br />t�oetten, S ime, Callahan and Kelley. <br />CONSENT AGENDA* Councilmember T. Adams asked that item 3 be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda*. <br />Councilmember T. Adams moved, Councilmember Frahm <br />seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda*, subject to <br />removing item 3, with all staff reports concerning <br />these items to be attached to an original copy of <br />these minutes on file in the City Clerk's Office. <br />Motion, Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS <br />AND INTERVIEWS Mayor Butler stated that there are two openings on <br />the Planning Commission. Diann Goet+-en current <br />member of the Planning Commission is requesting <br />reappointment. The following people have indicated <br />a desire to be appointed to the Planning Commission: <br />Paul Taylor, Bill Wear, Denny Pederson and Robert <br />Kost. Philip Bradley and Mariann Kienzler have <br />indicated a desire to serve on the Park Commission. <br />Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Frahm seconded to <br />reappoint Diann Goetten to a 3 year term on the <br />Planning Commission. Motion, Ayes (3), Nays (2), L. <br />Adams and Grabek nay. <br />Mayor Butler asked each candidate to introduce <br />themself to the Council and audience. <br />Paul Taylor, stated he has lived in the Farview <br />Addition for 7 years. The family has been active <br />in Orono School activities. He is currently a member <br />of the Orono Park Commission. Believes it is <br />important for public minded citizens to make their <br />time and talants when the opportunity presents <br />itself . <br />William Wear, stated that he is a 50 year resident of <br />Orono. A business man from the north end of Orono. <br />I am for the development fur the north end of Orono. <br />I feel that that I could do a yood job on the <br />Planning Commission for the City. <br />
