COUNCIL MEET110t <br />M. <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR <br />COUNCIL MEETING HELD JANUARY 14, 1985 �A42181985 <br />CITY Of OROM <br />7:00 PM ATTENDANCE <br />The Oronc Council met on the abo\ie date with the following <br />members present: Mayor Butler, Councilmembers Lynn <br />Adams, TimAdams,and Frahm. Councilmember Grabek was <br />absent. Public Works Coordinator Gerhardson, Zoning <br />AdministratorMahusth, City Attorney Radio, City Clerk <br />Hallin, and City Recorder Sutton represented the City <br />staff. City Administrator Benson was not present. <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />City Clerk, Dorothy Hallin, administered the oath of <br />office pledge to the new Councilmember Lynn. Adams. <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />Councilmember L. Adams asked that iterns 4 and 5 be <br />removed from the Consent Agenda* for more discussion. <br />Councilmember Frahm moved, Councilmember T. Adams <br />seconded, to approve the Consent Age,ida*, subject to <br />removing items 4 and 5 for discussion, with all staff <br />reports concerning these items to be attached to an <br />original copy of these minutes on file in the City <br />Clerk's Office. Notion, Ayes (4), Nays (0). <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES* Councilmember Frahm moved, Councilmember T. Adams <br />seconded, to approve the minutes of December 10, 1984. <br />Motion, Ayes (4), Nays (0). <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES* Councilmember Frahm moved, Councilmember T. Adams <br />seconded, to approve the minutes of the special meeting <br />held January 3, 1985. Motion, Ayes (4), Nays (0). <br />LAKE 14INNETONKA CONSERVATION <br />DISTRICT REPORT There was no Lake Minneto*_a Conservation District <br />Report. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COMMENTS Planning Commission Representatives Sime and Rovegno <br />had no comments. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS Jerry Wheeler and Sandra George of 3399 Crystal Bay Road <br />were present to discuss a complaint. Wheeler noted <br />that he has been having trouble having the City <br />ordinances enforced in his neighborhood. Wheeler <br />passed out a letter from him to the Council. Wheeler <br />explained that he has a complaint about an eye sore in <br />his neighborhood. Wheeler noted that he has made a <br />complaint to the Orono staff but no action has been <br />taken on his complaint by City staff. Wheeler <br />explained that his neighbor is illegally storing an old <br />truck and an over -sized boat in the front yard next to <br />his lot line. Wheeler stated that the neighbor has <br />also illegally excavated the hillside, has built a <br />retaining wall, and increased the hardcov%r within 75' <br />of the lakeshore without any building permits, <br />variances, or permission. Wheeler asked the Council <br />to assist him in getting equal treatment under the City <br />ordinances by doing the following: <br />
