Let us k.tow if that places a burden on <br />you so that we can make other arrangements. <br />Publication date for the Directory is March 31. <br />We are again committed to distributing 7500 <br />copies but would love to increase the number. <br />Increased distribution will depend on In- <br />creased advertising!! Ad prices start at just <br />$25.00 — a real bargain! Ad copy must be sub- <br />initted ready for printing to SOS by Feb. 28. <br />(SOS will help you prepare your ad if neces <br />sary.) Let's set a goal of 10,000 distribu- <br />tion through increased advertisi.ng!! <br />The December General Membership Meet- <br />Ing was a smash. Special thanks to the <br />Grandview Gals and their director. Jane Bram <br />billa, and Grandview Assistant Principal Pam <br />Myers. Thanks also to those who sponsored the <br />Gals for lunch, brought donations, and to Con. <br />tel for providing the Gals corsages. This <br />meeting proved that reservations are a must if <br />you want to be assured of seating, because we <br />ran out of room and were forced to turn away <br />some who were without reservations. Not a <br />happy thing to have to do. Also, please make <br />special note of each meeting's loo-ation. We do <br />move around — right C.P.? Janr is at the Mist! <br />COUNCIL REPORTS <br />GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS: The December <br />meeting was used for discussion within the <br />group about its direction and goals, and it was <br />decided to continue with the emphasis on be- <br />coming more informed on major issues <br />through outside speakers and member presen- <br />tations. The topic schedule through March was <br />set. Topics and responsible members are: <br />Jan. - Taxation - Rep. John Burger, Speaker: <br />Pat Westoff, Minnesota Taxpayers Association, <br />Director of Research. <br />Feb. - Hazardous Waste - Dave Anderson, NSP. <br />Mar. - Education - Senator Gen Olson. <br />Dan Regan, C.P.A., was unanimously named to <br />continue through 1985 as the chair of this <br />Council. The croup also thanked Paul Norris, <br />Advanced Machine, for his excellent, thought- <br />ful presentation on the Worker's Comp. ques- <br />tion in Minnesota. <br />RETAIL: Mound - elected officers for 1985 <br />-Bi!I Holm, Laker/Pioneer, Chair Dave Klein. <br />Video One, Vice -Chair: Helen Halvorson, Rus- <br />tique, Secretaryffreasurer. Preparations are <br />underway for a Mid -February Crazy Daze/ <br />Presidents Day consolidated clearance sale at <br />the Legion.
