Motion, Ayes (10), Nays (0). <br />Elam Moved, Hurr Seconded that the safeguard plan for the trail <br />at the Grays Bay Dam be recommended for approval as proposed. <br />Motion, Ayes (10), Nays (0). <br />EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: Brown reported that the committee reviewed <br />a contract for LMCD inspection service and recommended Board ap- <br />proval making the contract term continuing. <br />Dock license and DMA applications are in for 1985, penalty period <br />beginning December 3. The City of Mound requested a later due <br />date, such as January 10, because of budgetary problems. The <br />committee forwarded the request to the Board, subject to legal <br />review. <br />The committee was advised that late fees for summer Special Events <br />have now been received. <br />TRAIL <br />RECOS <br />SP EVENT <br />LATE FEES <br />After discussion of the deicing enfnrrement procedure, the committee DEICING <br />ordered a memo for the Board meeting covering the LMCD deicing PROGRAM <br />program. <br />Very few mooring buoys remain aro-ind the Lake, articles and news BUOY <br />releases have been published. The Water Patrol will followup REMOVAL <br />on the cuoys that remain after ice is in. <br />In other matters, no action was taken on the Wayzata School S.O.S. <br />letter or on the Art Lee retirement lunch; recent newspaper articles <br />regarding the Causeway were distributed; the final 1984 followup <br />on the Save the Lake mailing was made November 29; and the committee <br />made no recommendation concerning changes in official depository <br />and newspaper designations. <br />Brown Moved, Garwood Seconded that the contract for LMCD inspection INSPECTION <br />service be approved. Motion, Ayes (11), Nays 101. CONTRACT <br />Slocum Moved, Pillsbury Seconded that marina operators who request <br />a delay in paying the December 1 dock license fee be granted an <br />extension for at least half the amount of the fee without late DOCK <br />fee penalty. Motion, Ayes (4), Nays (7), Boynton, Pillsbury, FEES <br />Slocum and Soderberg voting Aye; motion failed. The chairman <br />will respond to the letter which requested a delay. <br />Bauman Moved, Rascop Seconded that a letter be mailed to deicing DEICING <br />permittees specifying that tickets will be issued for violations.
