Kilbo, Chief of Police <br />City of Orono <br />44+ Willow Drive <br />Long lake, Minneaotaas34 <br />January 10. 19W <br />Re, Raffle License Application <br />Orono Hockey Roosters <br />Dear Chief Kilboi <br />This letter is In response to your letter dated January 2nd <br />repeating more information on the rh�ono Hockey boosters organization. <br />The Orono Hockey Boosters Is a tax exempt 9r01-e3 organization <br />which has been in existence for over j years, its purpose is to <br />p.omote the Orono Hockey program through education with emphasis on <br />good sportsmanlike activity. We currently have approximately 200 <br />members. We run many fund raisers thought the year and the procedes <br />go directly to the hockey program and to pay for the Pond Arena. <br />We currently lease space from the Orono/Westonka Sports Center, Inc., <br />another tax exempt group of which we have representation on the <br />Board of Lirectors. The Orono/Westonka Sports Center, Inc, is the same <br />as the Harold J. Pond Arena. The persons that make up its Board are <br />the same persons that make up the local booster Boards. The Pond <br />Arse Board currently oversees nearly 60C participants, including <br />the Orono and Found High School hockey teams. <br />One of the purposes of the RAFFLE In to reduce the debt on the <br />Pond Arena.
