-46 <br />{ 6. <br />In no case shall the width of'the filter material <br />in a single bed exceed ten feet. <br />. <br />7. <br />A rubber tired tractor may be used for plowing or <br />disking but in no•case shall a rubber tired tractor <br />be used after the surface preparation is completed. <br />A _crawler—or track:_typ_e -_tractor_-shall-be used for <br />1 ' <br />mound construction. <br />;! 8. <br />The discharge pipe from the pump to the mound area <br />shall be installed prior to soil'surface preparation. <br />The trench shall be carefully backfilled and compacted <br />� <br />o <br />to prevent seepage of effluent. <br />- <br />a 9. <br />Soil Surface Preparation: <br />t -- <br />(a) The total area selected for the mound,, including <br />jf <br />the dikes shall be plowed with•a mold board plow to <br />a depth of -at least eight 'inches. Furrows shall <br />run perpendicular to the direction of slope. All <br />[ <br />frrows shall be -thrown uphill and there•shall be <br />no dead furrow under the mound.
