AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: November 10, 2025 <br />Title: Police Department ALPR Audit <br />Presenter: Correy Farniok, Police Chief <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br />Item: 13 <br />Purpose: <br />Minnesota State Statute 13.824 Subd. 6 requires law enforcement agencies, equipped with <br />automated license plate readers (ALPR), to conduct a biennial audit and provide the results to its <br />governing body. In order to comply with this statute, the police department engaged the <br />Minnesota Security Consortium (MNSec) to audit the department's ALPR system. This audit <br />covered from August 1, 2023, through July 31, 2025. The audit found the Orono Police <br />Department is using the system in compliance with Minnesota State Statute 13.824. A copy of the <br />audit executive summary is attached. <br />2.
