CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO.763 5 <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION <br />WHEREAS, the city of Orono is authorized by Minn. Stat. 465.03 to accept donations of <br />property for the benefit of its people and is specifically authorized to accept gifts; and <br />WHEREAS, the acceptance of donations is subject to approval by a simple majority vote of the <br />City Council through formal resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the Crime Prevention Fund has offered make a donation to the city of Orono <br />in the amount of $13,608.99 for two drones to be used as a crime prevention tool; and <br />WHEREAS, the donation has been donated to Orono for the benefit of its residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donation. <br />RESOLVED that the Orono City Council gratefully accepts the donation of $13,608.99 for two <br />drones. <br />FURTHER, police department staff will acknowledge receipt of the donation and express <br />appreciation to the Crime Prevention Fund. <br />Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on November 10, 2025. <br />ATTEST: <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />Christine Lusian, City Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />71 <br />
