RESOLUTION # 880 <br />A RESOLUTION DISAPPROVING THE FINDINGS <br />OF THE TRAFFIC STUDY ON NORTH ARM DRIVE <br />(COUNTY ROAD 151) AND SHORELINE DRIVE <br />(COUNTY ROAD 15) FROM FERNDALE ROAD WEST <br />TO ORONO ORCHARD ROAD <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono did, on July 25, 1977, <br />request by resolution #804 and #809 the Hennepin County Highway <br />Department to conduct a traffic study on North Arm Drive (County <br />Road #151) between Loma Linda Avenue and West Branch Road (County <br />Road #151), a distance approximately four tenths of a mile, and <br />on Shoreline Drive (County Road 15) from Ferndale Road west to <br />Orono Orchard Road, and <br />WHEREAS, on January 9, 1978, the Hennepin County <br />Highway Department did report those. findings to the City of Orono, <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono does not agree with their <br />findings, and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is concerned with the safety, <br />health and welfare of the citizens of Orono. <br />S NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Orono <br />does hereby request of the Hennepin County Highway Department to <br />reconsider the speed limit authorization on the following County <br />Roads in the City of Orono: <br />North Arm Drive (County Road 151) between Loma <br />Linda Avenue and West Branch Road (County Road <br />151) , a distance of approximately four tenths <br />of a mile. <br />Shoreline Drive (County Road 15) from Ferndale <br />Road west to Orono Orchard Road. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, <br />at a regular meeting held February 23, 1978. <br />Wil <br />'Z g <br />• Attest: <br />Walter R Benson, Clerk -Administrator <br />
