MINUTES OF THE CANVASSING BOARD MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 7, <br />ATTENDANCE 5:05 PM <br />COUNCIL MEETINt <br />1984. PAGE 1 <br />NOV 1 3 1984 <br />The Orono Counci l met on the above date with the following <br />members precent: Mayor Butler, Cou'i3O <br />Frahm, and Hammerel. Councilme etylpb 1 <br />absent. Deputy Clerk Lattin, Public Works Coor- <br />dinator Gerhardson, City Attorney Radio, and Recorder <br />Sutton represented the City staff. Herb Reissner was <br />also present. <br />Mayor Butler stated that the purpose of this meeting is <br />to review the tally sheets from the election held <br />November 6, 1984. Butler stated that the result of the <br />election is that Jim Grabek and Lynn Adams have heen <br />elected to four year terms to the City Council effective <br />after the first of the year. <br />Mayor Butler stated that there has been a question on <br />the write-in votes in precinct N1. <br />Public Works Coordinator Gehardson stated that it is up <br />to Council's discretion if they want to review the <br />write-in votes, <br />Council felt that they should review the write-in votes <br />for precinct N1. <br />Mayor Butler read the results of the write-in votes from <br />precinct #1 as follows: <br />Precinct it <br />Gary Printup <br />Barbara Peterson <br />Jo Ellen Hurr <br />Brad Van Nest <br />Albert Aschenbeck <br />Supervisor of Soil <br />Kienzler <br />Jim Grabek <br />Mayor Council <br />1 4 <br />4 <br />2 <br />1 <br />1 <br />6 Water District #4 Marianne <br />Ed Spencer for President <br />1 <br />Councilmember Adams read the new totals of the tally <br />sheet for the office of Mayor as follows: <br />Mary Butler 2,894 <br />Brad Van Nest 1 <br />Gary Printup 1 <br />Bill Sime 6 <br />Gloria McDonald 1 <br />Albert Aschenbeck 1 <br />Jo Ellen Hurr 4 <br />Jim Grabek 1 <br />Bob Benson l <br />Bill Wear �' <br />
