Butler stated that <br />lakeshore property is unique and that is why the City <br />has strict standards regarding hardcover. Butler <br />noted that the one lot conforms to the code now, but if <br />the City was to allow the division of the lot, the City <br />would be making two substandard lots which is against <br />the City's subdivision regulations. <br />Councilmember Frahm noted that the biggest detri.aient to <br />the lake is hardcover. <br />Bruce Goldstein atated that these are two separate <br />lots, so the City is not really talking about a <br />subdivision. <br />Mayor Butler spited that the lots were combined <br />according t:► Hennepin County. But oir stated that the <br />Ericson's have beneffrom tiie combination in that <br />the tax assessor assesses the value differently when <br />the lots are *1,itler stated thA� it iy looked <br />upon as one developed lot. <br />Bruce Goldstein stated that Lha Ericson's ltava nevar <br />combined the lots. Goldstei,) stated that the County <br />probably thought it would be easier to send out one tax <br />statement, than tiro. <br />John Ericson stated that he has two separate legal <br />descriptions, but it is on one tax statement. Ericson <br />stated that he has a 65' lot anal a 63' lot. Ericson <br />stated that he has paid taxes on both lots thinking they <br />were buildable lots. Ericson stated that the garage <br />could be moved, if needed. Ericson stated that when <br />the sewer went in, they put in two stubs. Ericson <br />stated that he only paid fr -)ne, because the City <br />didn't do their job when they )ut in the sewer and the <br />stub that is for the present house is way over by <br />neighbor's driv+?w)y.
