MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING HELD OCTOBER 15, 1984. PAGE 9 <br />CHUCK HENKE Chuck Henke stated that he went to see the Building <br />Inspector before he bought the property. Henke <br />stated that the Inspector gave him a report of <br />corrections that must be made. Henke stated that this <br />report did not include the foundation. Henke stated <br />that if he had known that the house needed a new <br />foundation that he would not have bouqht the house. <br />Henke felt it wasn't fair that the Inspector told him <br />later that a foundation must be installed. Henke <br />stated that the Inspector gave him a list of <br />corrections that he relied on and the foundation was <br />not included on that list. <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth stated that Henke had <br />first approached the Inspector that this would be <br />temporary and that he would tear the building down and <br />rebuild it later. Mabusth stated that the use of the <br />building to be temporary until Henke built a permanent <br />residence on the property. Mabusth stated that the <br />City does not have the authority to give variances to <br />the State Building Code. <br />Councilmember Grabek moved, Mayor Butler seconded, to <br />direct Chuck Henke to proceed with funding for the <br />foundation and such foundation to be installed by July <br />23, 1985, and if at that time can't pay taxes and can't <br />get funding to put foundation in or hasn't started new <br />house plans to meet the state code, then staff is to <br />proceed with condemnation of the building. 'lotion, <br />Ayes (4) , Nays (0) . <br />BID AWARD <br />TRUNK HIGHWAY 12 SANITARY <br />SEWER REPAIR i DITCH <br />GRADING PROJECT Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Adams seconded, to <br />award the bid to F.F. Jedlicki , Inc. for an amount not <br />to exceed $13,050 for the Trunk Highway 12 Sanitary <br />Sewer Repair & Ditch Grading Project. Motion, Ayes <br />(4), Nays (0). <br />CHANGE ORDER - HANDICAPPED <br />ACCESS - PRECINCT #3 City Engineer Cook noted that the work has been <br />completed. <br />Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Hammerei Seconded, <br />to approve the change order in the amount of $2, 395 and <br />to approve the final payment in the amount of $3,822.96 <br />to Halverson Construction. Motion, Ayes (4), Nays <br />(0). <br />RESOLUTION #1691 <br />WILLOW DRIVE OVERLAY City Engineer Cook requested that Council reject all <br />bids for the Willow Drive overlay and call for new bids <br />in the spring. <br />
