We believe this will greatly <br />enhance the ability of the Emergency <br />Services Providers to help people <br />in economic trisiti find morn permanent <br />solutions LO their probleirs. <br />I whho <br />i►1 <br />4newt <br />�—* J <br />VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION <br />BREAKFAST <br />West Hennepin Human Services Planning <br />Board along with Northwest Hennepin <br />Human Services Council and South <br />Hennepin Human Services Council held <br />an app--ciation breakfast at Bursch's <br />Restaurant in Hopkins recently for <br />our Energy Assistance program wluuteels . <br />The program provides assistance to <br />low- and moderate -income households <br />to meet their heating costs. This <br />past year more than 55 volunteers <br />from throughout suburban Hennepin <br />County conducted telephone screening, <br />rJ ams ! <br />�Ent►yY <br />,�4ss�islalut <br />VvI unler7 <br />arranged appointments, conducted <br />intake interviews, and tilled out <br />appi at ions tn,i helped with outreach <br />t ten. Th. prngr,im served 1.652 <br />households in c h(, West Hennepin ar.-:, <br />during the past year. <br />From the West Hennepin area, tho <br />following volunteers helped: Ruby <br />and Leo Cameron, Myrtle Dahie, Lucille <br />Duffy, Rosemary Geis, Russ Jacobson, <br />Bert Moe, Helen Merkel, Dottie O'Brien, <br />Harry and Bernice Putt, Millie Pauman, <br />Leona Peterson, Doruthy Rauschendorfer, <br />Vi Rapley, Mabel Swanson, Inez Shoemaker, <br />John Seamons, Rosalie Strauss, Kermit <br />Streensland, Bob Strelow, Audrey <br />Sandin. <br />We'd also like to thank the following <br />businesses for their generous contri- <br />butions of gitts given to volunteers <br />at the appreciation breakfast: Broad - <br />walk (Minnetonka), Sassy Hair Studio <br />(St. Louis Park), Glenrose Floral <br />(Hopkins), Erika's Beauty Salon (St. <br />Louis Park), Friendship Shop (St. <br />Louis Park), Anthony's Floral/Greenhouse <br />(Mound), Bill Clarke Oil (Mound), <br />Don E.
