Berhardson, Public Works Coordinator CITY OF O R O N O <br />Datei October 12, 1984 <br />SubJectl Snow Plow Purchase - Street Department <br />Currently the street department performs snow removal with <br />four single axle dump trucks with fixed angle snow plows and two <br />3/4 ton 4 W/D pickups with 8 ft. hydroturn snow plows. <br />The larger trucks and plows remove snow from the street and <br />the smaller trucks with hydroturn plows plow and clean up the <br />dead -ends and cul-de-sacs. <br />For several years we have suggested to plow manufactures to <br />build a plow for the larger trucks that have the versatility of a <br />smaller unit. Thereby eliminating the need for two different <br />vehicles to perform one service. <br />The manufactures now have the product that we have been <br />looking for that is constructed well enough to stand up to our <br />use. <br />Therefore, I have received estimates for one plow under- <br />carriage and hydraulics installed for $4,358.00. <br />Monies are budgeted for this purchase in revenue sharing. <br />
