City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A YARIARCR <br />FROM CURRENT MUNICIPAL STATE AID STANDARDS <br />A resolution of the City of Orono, Hennepin County, <br />Minnesota requesting a variance from current Municipal State Aid <br />Standards. <br />WHEREAS, Municipal .State Aid street 101 (Willow Drive) was <br />constructed with a vertical alignment which provides for a 30 MPH <br />design speed on the Hill Crests @ 45t40 and 58+22. <br />NHERXAS, reconstruction of the present roadway to correct <br />the vertical alignment would not be in the best interests of tha City <br />because extensive work would be required with no significant benefit. <br />WHEREAS, the vertical alignment problem can be mitigated by <br />properly signing the street segments for a 30 MPH speed limit. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the <br />City of Orono, Hennepin County, Minnesota that the City Consulting <br />Engineer is authorized to request a variance to Municipal State Aid <br />Standard 14MCAR Section 1.5032, 8SR 2146, 8820.9910 (Rural Undivided <br />Geometric Standards) for MSAP 152-161-98. <br />The question wan on the adoption of the resolution and upon a <br />vote being duly taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereoE: <br />The following voted against saiaia: <br />WHERRUPOM, said resolution was declared duly passed and <br />adopted this 15 day of October, 1984. <br />Mary C.
