Section 10.03, Subdivision 9: Location of Accessory Structures <br />Application Summary: The variance request is to permit a recently remodeled accessory <br />building located in front of a new principal residence that will be constructed on the property. The <br />Haus' purchased the property last year and had a conditional use permit for a guest house approved <br />by the Council. They have decided not to construct the guest house and, instead, build a new <br />residence and remove the existing residence following receipt of a Certificate of Occupancy for the <br />new house. <br />-The Property does not have direct access to a read. The lot is accessed via an easement for driveway <br />purposes along the west property boundary of the property to the northeast. The building in question <br />is located along the north property line where the driveway enters the applicant's property. The <br />building is located approximately 530' from Bayside Road and 200' from the nearest adjacent <br />residence. A property map has been attached. <br />In the Hardship Statement the applicants have stated they would prefer to keep the building where <br />it is located since they have just completed remodeling the building.
