SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROPOSED ON -SITE DISPOSAL SYSTEM <br />VINCE BERNHARDT <br />2022 LAKE ROAD, WAYZATA <br />SEPTIC TANK - Two 1000-gallon capacity tanks, in series, <br />manufactured and installed in compliance <br />with City code. See Figure 2 for location. <br />DOSING CHAMBER - One 500-gallon capacity tank downstream <br />from the second septic tank manufactured <br />and installed in compliance with City coo a <br />for septic tanks, including a siphon or pump <br />with discharge rate of no less than 25 gpm. <br />The purpose of the dosing chamber is to de- <br />liver septic effluent to the drainfield in <br />periodic doses of 450 to 500 gallons at rates <br />of 25 gpm or more rather than in smaller, <br />more frequent applications. See Figure 2 <br />for location. <br />DRAINFIELD - Indicated average percolation rate is 4 <br />minutes per inch. State code required mini- <br />mum 115 square feet of drainfield area for <br />each bedroom at this percolation rate. <br />Proposed total drainfield area is 1000 square <br />feet. Proposed drainfield trench bottom <br />width is three (3) feet requiring 333 lineal <br />feet of drain tile. Four lines 85 feet long <br />and 8 feet apart are recommended. <br />Proposed drainfield locations are shown in <br />Figure 2. Contours shown in Figures 1 and <br />2 are approximate. Drainfield trench details <br />showing materials and installation are shown <br />in Figure 3. Estimated quality of washed <br />gravel or crushed rock for pipe bedding is <br />75 cubic yards. Figures 1 through 3 are, <br />by reference, made part of these specifications. <br />
