Existing Lot Area in Zone - includes the total square footage of dry buildable land <br />within the specified zone. <br />B. Existing Hardcover in Zone - includes the square footage of existing roofs, decks, sidewalks, <br />driveways (gravel or paved) and other rain -impervious surfaces within the specified zone. <br />C. Existing Hardcover Percentage - divide the number in B by the number in A and multiply by 100. <br />D. Proposed Hardcover in Zone - includes the existing hardcover plus all proposed additional <br />hardcover. <br />E. Proposed Hardcover Percentages - divide the number in D by the number in A and multiply by 100. <br />F. Allowed Hardcover Percentages - if the percentages in column E for any setback zone exceed <br />the allowed percentages in column F, you should contact the Zoning Department at 473-7357 <br />to discuss the possibilities of obtaining a variance. Generally, if a concurrent removal <br />of existing hardcover matches the additional hardcover proposed, resulting ill no net increase <br />of hardcover in a specified zone, a variance may not be necessary. <br />
