MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 15, 1986 <br />#1066 CARSON CONTINUED <br />Eileen M. Oleen, 1305 North Arm Drive, was present for <br />this matter. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron explained that <br />Ms. Oleen is cr)is -erned about the run-off from the <br />existing garage onto her property. <br />Ms. Oleen noted that applicant's property is almost <br />twice as high as hers and she receives all the run-off <br />from their property and is opposed to any additional <br />hardcover being allowed creating more run-off onto her <br />property. <br />Chairman Kelley and Goetten recommended draintile or <br />Arither alternative to correct the drainage problem. <br />Planning Commission unanimously agreed that the 7.7' <br />setback variance would be no problem with no additional <br />hardcover. <br />No one was present from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Chairman Kelley, seconded by Goetten, to <br />recommend approval of tt•- side setback variance of 7.7' <br />subject to: <br />1) Applicant work with staff to correct drainage <br />problem. <br />2) Remove plastic allowing no additional hardcover. <br />Motion, Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br />�1' Ma <br />T. OLSON <br />000 /AYSIDE ROAD <br />VAXIA10E <br />PUBLIC HEARING 8:07-8:12 <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing <br />was noted. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron explained the <br />request for a 19.9' side setback variance to construct a <br />kitchen addition noting topography problems as well as <br />the drainage and well location as hardship factors in <br />the location of the proposed addition. <br />Jane Olson was present for this matter and stated that <br />due to _.he dining room location, and this being a <br />kitchen addition, the location is most practical without <br />having to do extensive interior remodeling. In <br />addition, they would like to take advantage of the lake <br />view. <br />4 <br />
