4 rt
FOR R. ;BAR", CONSTRUCTION
TRACT E. R.L.S. NO. 1098
12-16-79
On December 15, 1979 six percolation holes were tested and 3
soil borings taken, The percolation holes were dug to a 48 inch
depth at 6 inches in diameter. The soil borings were dug 6 inches
in diameter to the 4 foot depth and 3 inches in diameter to the 7
foot depth.
The average percclation rate for the 4 holes in the primary
site was 32.1 minutes per inch. This rate, along with the lack of
a high water table, should enable a standard drainfield system to
be used. However, thA ea for the primary drainfield is located
on a terrace between some steep slopes, and some of the drainfield
area might be rather steep itself. Thus, the trenches should be
constructed deep to help avoid sidehill seepage. For the proposed
4 bedroom house 1200 sq. ft. of soil absorption area is needed.
This would amount to 4 trenches of 100 feet in length and 3 feet
in width. These trenches would be spaced a minimum of 7.5 feet
center to center,
Two LOGO gallon septic tanks should be used with the proposed
house, All construction and materials should adhere to the provi-
sions of the Orono on -sits sewage t-3atment manual.
If any additional information is needed, please contact me.
Sincerely,
P%RCOR,/INC. `
DlARK S.
