There is an obvious hardship due to <br />topography and location of the existing house and driveway, forcing <br />the proposed garage to be nearer the road than the house and requiring <br />the variance to Section 10.03, Subdivision 9 (D)and 10.27 Subdivisioa <br />5 (B). <br />Applicants sketch also indicates garage is to be located 5' from the <br />main structure rather than the 10' required, requiring a variance to <br />10.03, Subdivision 12. From a fire safety standpoint, staff would <br />prefer keeping this 10' setback and moving qar- .je closer to the road. <br />The applicant indicates this will not be a problem. <br />Planning Commission recommended approval with the stipulation that <br />th,i� garage be locatea at least 10' from the existing house. Staff <br />recommends approval per the attached resolution. <br />
