In fact, <br />60 recorded-antac,, ,.,er-' made In the Orono community in 1983 (this is <br />in addition to information and referral contacts which are not recorded <br />by community). Because Westonka Counselin(,, like the Tamarack Club and <br />Westonka Senior Center, is a program of Suburban Community Services, <br />our staff works very closely wirh other senior citizen programs to <br />Provide a full range of services to Orono older adults. The enclosed <br />examples of Westonka Counseling's services si;ow more specifically how <br />homebound seniors are helped and linked to a variety of community <br />tesources (clients' names have been changed). <br />This fall Westonka Counseling will present a series on Aging, which <br />w'.11 be open to the entire community, followed by another series on <br />Active Listening Skills to train people of all acres who are interested <br />in helping frail seniors in the community. <br />WF• appreciate your orts in making these services available to frail <br />older adults and their families in Orono.
