City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A VARIANCE FROM CURRENT <br />MUNICIPAL STATE AID STANDARDS <br />WHEREAS, Municipal State Aid Street 101 (Willow Drivel was <br />constructed with an alignment which provides for a 30 MPI: design speed <br />near the intersection of Fox Street with Municipal State Aid approval. <br />WHEREAS, reconstruction of the present roadway to correct <br />the alignment would not be in the best interests of the City because <br />extensive work would be required with no significant benefit. <br />WHEREAS, the alignment problem is near the intersection of <br />Fox Street where there is a four way stop sign which results in the <br />traffic slowing down through the curve. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the <br />City of Orono, Hennepin County, Minnesota that the City Cousulting <br />Engineer is authorized to request a variance to Municipal State Aid <br />Standard 14MCAR Section 1.5032, 8SR 2146, 8820.9910 (Rural Undivided <br />Geometric Standards) for MSAP 152-191-98. <br />The question was on the adoption of the resolution and upon a <br />vote being duly taken thereon, the following vote) in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this <br />10 day of September, 1984. <br />Mary C. butler, Mayo[ ----- -_-- <br />ATTEST: <br />Dorot� M.
