Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, MN 55323 <br />Phone (952) 249-4600 Fax (952) 249-4616 <br />NOTICE <br />The Orono Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Orono Council Chambers at <br />2780 Kelley Parkway on Monday, June 15, 2015, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on the matter of reviewing the <br />following land use applications and proposed zoning amendments : <br />15-3716 <br />15-3725 <br />15-3733 <br />15-3737 <br />15-3739 <br />15-3740 <br />15-3742 <br />15-3744 <br />15-3745 <br />Dale Gustafson , on behalf of Mark and Kristen Anderson , 3850 Watertown Road , RR- <br />1A zoning district requests approval of an after-the-fact conditional use permit <br />amendment in order to import a total of approximately 20 ,000 cubic yards of fill material <br />to the property. <br />Douglas & Roban Smith, 4195, 4175 and 4167 Highwood Road, LR-1B zoning district, <br />request approval of a conditional use permit and hardcover and setback variances to <br />allow hardcover (below grade) within 75 feet of the OHWL of Lake Minnetonka and <br />potentially exceeding the allowed 50 cubic yards of earth movement. The purpose of this <br />joint request is to allow re-grading of the slope and install subterranean retaining walls to <br />stabilize a substantial portion of the lakeshore bank on each of the properties . <br />Sharratt Design Company , LLC on behalf of James & Kathlyn Wyman, 1185 Ferndale <br />Road West, LR-1A zoning district requests approval of a side setback variance to permit <br />a two-story addition 15.6' from the side lot line where a 30' setback is required . <br />Richard Brama on behalf of Margaret M. Buschbom Trust , 1150 Homestead Trail and <br />3020 Sixth Avenue North, RR-1 B zoning district, requests approval of a subdivision for a <br />lot line rearrangement between the two properties. <br />BPS Properties, LLC , 300 Sixth Avenue North, RR-1 B zoning district, requests approval <br />of a preliminary plat to create an 11-lot residential subdivision for development of single- <br />family homes . <br />George Funk & Judy Rogosheske , 540 Old Crystal Bay Road South, RR-1 B zoning <br />district, request approval of a preliminary plat to create a 2-lot residential subdivision for <br />single-family home development. <br />Dale Gustafson , on behalf of Barbara Burwell, 1100 Millston Road, LR-1A zoning district, <br />requests approval of a conditional use permit and variance to allow hardcover (below <br />grade) within 75 feet of the OHWL of Lake Minnetonka and potentially exceeding the <br />allowed 50 cubic yards of earth movement. The purpose of this joint request is to allow re- <br />grading of the slope and install subterranean retaining walls to stabilize a substantial <br />portion of the lakeshore bank. <br />John Brunelle , 190 Orono Orchard Road, RR-1 B zoning district requests approval of a <br />lot area variance (1 .54 acres where 2 acres is required), a lot width variance (120.5' <br />where 200 ' is required), and side street setback variance (30.5 ' where 50 ' is required) to <br />permit redevelopment of the site with a new two-story residence. <br />Gordon James Construction , on behalf of Matt Johnson , 1432 Shoreline Drive, LR-1A <br />zoning district, requests approval of a lake setback variance (53.6' where 75 ' is required), <br />and side yard setback variance (21.9 ' where 30 ' is required) to permit a second story <br />addition onto the existing structure .
