A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />VARIANCES TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.23, SUBDIVISION 6(B) <br />FILE #1998 <br />WHEREAS, Craig Wicklund (hereinafter "the applicant") has an interest in the <br />property located at 3780 Bayside Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally <br />described as follows: <br />Lot 52, Auditor's Subdivision No. 203, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the <br />property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for variances to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10. 23, Subdivision 6(B) to permit the construction of a new principal <br />structure on a property that consists of 65,560 s.f. or 1.51 acres where 87,120 s.f. or 2 acres <br />is required and on a lot that measures 149' at the 50' front street setback where a 200' width <br />is required. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1998. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-lA, Lakeshore Residential Zoning District <br />requiring 2 acres in area. <br />3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on February 22, 1995, <br />and recommended approval of the proposed variances based upon the following <br />unique findings and hardships: <br />A.
