McCleary; Stubbs Bay Marina; Dredging <br />Application; Orono; Application No. •77-98 \ <br />The engineer advised the managers that he had had no <br />communication from the officials of the City of Orono with re- <br />spect to acting on this application in advance of review by the <br />City of Orono in the customary manner. It was moved by Lehman, <br />seconded by Williams, that the application be tabled. Upon vote, <br />,die motion carried <br />Marc W. Arneson; Minnetonka Motel; 15818 Wayzaua Boulevard; <br />rrinnctonka; Wetlands Fill; Renewal of Permit No.,7b _20 <br />The engineer reviewed the application to renew an exist- <br />ing fill permit originally issued by the district in 1976. The <br />engineer recommended approval. Following discussion, it was moved <br />by Lehman, seconded by Palmatier, that the application be approved <br />as recommended by the engineer. Upon vote, the motion carried. <br />Grading at "Stone Ridge Trace"; Minnetonka <br />Doug Goriesky, consulting engineer on behalf of the dev- <br />eloper of Stone Ridge Trace, appeared before the managers and ad- <br />vised the managers that grading had been undertaken by the devel- <br />oper outside the right-of-way for road construction prior to sub- <br />mission of a permit application to the district. Mr. Goriesky <br />stated that he had contacted the district's engineer as soon as <br />he became aware of this situation, and was proceeding to insti- <br />tute interim measures at the request of the district's engineer. <br />Mr. Goriesky further indicated that the developer would submit a <br />permit application pzomptly. <br />Hennepin County Well - Lake Minnetonka Association <br />The engineer reviewed the history and present status of <br />the groundwater wells previously or -rated by Hennepin County and <br />later transferred to the district. Stan Kinghorn of the Lake <br />Minnetonka Association indicated r iew that additional informa- <br />tion regarding the possible utili. on of the existing wells <br />should be secured by an appropriate public body. President Cochran <br />expressed the general interest of the Board of Managers in explor- <br />ing the matter to determine what would be involved in evaluating <br />the possibility of utilizing the existing wells. President <br />Cochran expressed the appreciation of the managers for the report <br />made by Mr. Kinghorn. <br />Treasurer's Report <br />Manager Palmatier distributed the treasurer's monthly <br />administrative fund report, a copy of which is attached hereto. <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Palmati(,, seconded by <br />Cochran that the report be approved and the bills paid as set <br />
