As stated in Ordinance No. 210, The On -Sits Sewage Treateent Coder <br />Section 22.01, Subd. 2, the purpose of the code isa "i. To Prevent <br />the premature extension of cos::ly municipi.1 sewer and vtl £ ser U08 <br />consistent with the adopted Comprehensiv" Land Use Plan of the City." <br />it is just such proposals as that of the Hubers that have a high <br />potential for causing premature extension oC sewvre. <br />3. The intent of the code is to preserve adequate lane. area suitable <br />for use as future drainfie)u in the unsewerad trees. The code seta <br />standards for the amount o` area to be pratc-ved. Also Section 22.20 <br />Subd. S, states in part thats "No building permit, plumbing or <br />mechanical permit shall be issued by the City for an- expansion or <br />alteration of a building or ure connected to an existing on -site <br />system, unil such system has been inspected and certified by the <br />City as being in compliance with this code. Whenever the addition <br />of bedrooms, plumbing fixtures or mechanical equipment, or a chan94 <br />in the character or intensity of the established use is proposed, <br />the City may :squire the review and/or replacement, repair, alteration <br />or expansion of the existing system or any portion thereof." <br />i contend that the lot in questi..i does not and cannot most tha intent <br />of the code in preserving adequate area for future drainfield. i must <br />recommend denial of the application. <br />
