End Tooisit <br />Avenue) <br />33*4'+ steep bank up to more level ground; there were dock sections stored at <br />this location, apparently has been used for a private dock previously; as <br />remote from inland lots as Site A; not suitable for vehicles <br />C (Main Access)90’±Flat, wide road right-of-w'ay leading from shoreline to inland right-of-wav s, <br />bv far the widest and historically most used vehicular access for the Island, <br />has an informally established dirt ‘road’ leading to the interior right-of-ways; <br />site is more than wide enough to accommodate a small number of <br />con forming-setback seasonal docks for inland owners while not blocking <br />vehicular access; dowmside is that an old ice ridge with mature trees is along <br />most of the shoreline, with a wetland area behind it; use of access for <br />docking during high water might require dock sections parallel to shoreline <br />to avoid climbing over the ice ridge <br />D (Bay Place Lagoon <br />Access) <br />50 ’±3-4* lakeshore bank, not suitable for vehicular access but appears to have <br />potential to accommodate a small number of confoiming-setback docks; <br />walking access to inland lots very feasible; this appears to be the most likclv <br />site for docks for inland owners on the south end of the island <br />E (Meadow Lane East <br />Extension) <br />20 ’10-15 ’ bank at shore, not suitable for vehicular access and would require a <br />substantial stairway system to be usable for pedestrian access <br />F (Meta-Comet Avr <br />S. Jth End) <br />33’Fairly level at shoreline, climbs steeply once Lakeview Avenue is reached; <br />plat maps unclear as to whether right-of-way currently extends to shoreline; <br />although original 1887 plat road does not extend to shoreline, 1922 replat <br />shows shoreline closer to road than oiiginal, and current County plat maps <br />suggest shoreline may extend into right-of-way; may have some potential as <br />a vehicular access for properties at the south end of the island <br />F-2 (Massasolt Avenue <br />South End) <br />(33)According to original old plats and current plat maps this right-of-wa^ does <br />not extend to the lakeshore. <br />G (Massasolt Avenue <br />West End) <br />33’Steep but relatively pedestrian-friendly access point; not usable for vehicles, <br />some potential for perhaps one inland-owner dock, historically has provided <br />walking access primarily for the abutting property to the south <br />H (Meadow Lane Alley)16 ’Narrow right-of-way capable of vehicle access; gentle slope rising from <br />shore has suffered severe erosion from recent over-use and abuse; <br />functionally too narrow to have a dock that meets minimum LMCD/City <br />setback requirements while still maintaining usability for vehicles; capability <br />for vehicular use should be maintained for service or emergency use, <br />however, the regular use of this site for vehicles needs to be curtailed and <br />erosion control measures taken.
