MINUTES <br />LAKE MINNETONKA CABLE COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION <br />EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE <br />5:00 EXCELSIOR STUDIO <br />TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 1988 <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />Vice Chairman Anderson called the October 18, 1988 meeting to <br />order at 5:07 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present Others Present <br />Lesley Hughes -Seamans Holly Hansen <br />Jim Olds Shelly Quaas <br />Barb Brancel Mary Smith <br />Tom Anderson <br />II. APPROVAL OF MINUTEhj <br />MOTION 10.18.88.11 Brancel moved, seconded by Hughes -Seamans, <br />to approve the September 20, 1988 minutes as written. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />A. TRcASURER* <br />MOTION • JUST CLAIMS: Olds moved, seconded by <br />Brancel, to approve Just Claims as written on Appendix A. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />MOTION 10.18.88.3: Brancel moved, seconded by Olds, to approve <br />the 3rd Quarter Budget Report as written on Appendix B. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />B. ADMINISTRATIVE <br />Administrator Hansen reported that access has been very active <br />in October. The Open house went very well. Special classes <br />have also been offered at the studio during October, including <br />classes on lighting and performing for camera. These events and <br />classes are part of a special promotion of the studio during <br />October, Community Television Month. <br />Hansen also handed out a report on the NATOA conference, she <br />attended September 23rd - 28th. <br />Administrator Hansen informed the Commission that she has a 3/4 <br />inch VCR for sale. Hansen feels the VCR would be beneficial to <br />the Studio as it is a more professional format and would make it <br />easier to acquire programming on such things as public safety, <br />fire and police information. The cost is $350.00 plus $125.00 <br />for repairs, for a total investment of $475.00. <br />MOTION 10.18.88.4: Olds moved, seconded by Hughes -Seamans, to <br />authorize the purchase of the 3/4 inch VCR for $350.00 and <br />$125.00 for repairs. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Hansen informed the Commission that a new person needs to be <br />elected to fill the vacancy on the Executive Committee in <br />November. Another important item for the November meeting is <br />the Admendment of the Ordinance for the Transfer of Ownership, <br />it is essential to have a quorum in order to conduct this <br />business. <br />
