Subd. 3. Exception. Nothing in Subdivision 1 or 2 of <br />this Section shall apply: <br />A. To persons who obtain the appropriate permit as <br />set forth in the following paragraphs. <br />B. To a peace officer in the discharge of his <br />duty, or <br />C. To a person in the lawful defense of his person <br />or family. <br />D. To a display of fireworks by an organization or <br />group of organizations authorized in writing by the Chief of <br />Police, application for permit being made at least fifteen (15) <br />days prior to the event, or <br />E. To shoot a bow and arrow in the Physical <br />Education Program in a school supervised by a member of its <br />faculty, as community -wide supervised class or event specifically <br />authorized by the Chief of Police, or a bow and arrow range <br />authorized by the Council. <br />Subd. A. Activities Allowed With Permits. <br />A. Permits, Occasional Up to 15 Days. Occasional <br />permits valid for a period of fifteen (15) days or less may be <br />granted to clubs or persons as follows: <br />1. Occasional target shooting or trap and skeet shooting; <br />2. Field trials, commercial or professional exhibitions or <br />displays, or other similar lawful purpose as determined by <br />the City Police.. <br />3. For training of dogs for clubs or individuals, which <br />permit is valid only on land described in the permit by <br />persons with the consent of the owner or lessee thereof. <br />B. Permits Occasional U to 120 Days. For <br />�"'_----__ �--___Y_ <br />control of pests in commercial or agiicul tural situations, <br />permits maybe granted up to a maximum of 120 days as established <br />by the Administrator to persons or clubs meeting all the the <br />following criteria: <br />1. For control of pests, vermin, rodents, or ther animal <br />nuisances, such as deer hunting by bow and arrow during <br />appropriate season, or other animals that are a demonstrated <br />nuisance. <br />J 2. Where there are no other appropriate methods available. <br />3. Demonstrated need for a longer duration of time such as <br />2 <br />
