Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, MN 55323 <br />Phone (952) 249-4600 Fax (952) 2494616 <br />NOTICE <br />The Orono Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Orono Council Chambers at <br />2780 Kelley Parkway on September 16, 2019, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on the matter of reviewing the <br />following land use applications: <br />LA19-000060 Tim Druk, 3348 Bayside Road, requests a conditional use permit to fill in the <br />floodplain to elevate a detached accessory building. <br />LA19-000062 City of Orono Text Amendment related to amending the maximum Oversized <br />Accessory Buildings size. <br />LA19-000064 City of Orono Text Amendment related to Gardens as a principal use in Residential <br />zoning districts. <br />LA19-000067 Kathryn Alexander, 3129 Casco Circle, requests an average Lakeshore setback <br />variance in order to redevelop the property with a new single family home. <br />LA19-000068 Eric Johnson, 580 Orchard Park Road, requests a front yard setback variance to <br />construct additions to an existing home. <br />LA19-000069 John Qunlivan, 3315 Crystal Bay Road, requests the following variances in order to <br />redevelop the property with a new single family residence: lot area; hardcover within <br />the 75400t setback; driveway width within the 75400t setback; 49% total site <br />hardcover where 25% is allowed; 30% building/structural coverage where 20% is the <br />maximum allowed; building and structure within 75400t setback; rear yard setback; <br />front (street) setback; and side yard setback. An UP is also requested as there will be <br />grading within the 75400t setback and material export from the site over 500 cubic <br />yards. <br />LA19-000070 Wayzata Country Club, 430 Old Long Lake Road, requests Amendment to the <br />Comprehensive Plan to amend the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) to <br />incorporate the Golf Course. <br />LA19-000071 Martha Head, 2090 Shoreline Drive, requests approval of an average Lakeshore <br />setback variance in order to renovate an existing home on the property including <br />building additions. <br />LA19-000072 Brandon Lawrence, 4265 Forest Lake Drive, requests an average Lakeshore setback <br />variance to construct new decks onto an existing home. <br />All persons wishing to be heard are encouraged to attend these meetings. This is not a final agenda and <br />is subject to change prior to the hearings. Written comments are accepted and should be submitted to <br />the City of Orono by September 10, 2019 if possible.
